Very exciting. Another great gain for digital inclusion coming from the hard work by City Council and advocates in the CAP Comcast coalition on the Comcast franchise agreement last year. There should be some other great announcements in the pipeline.

SEPTA Smartphone App

Hi Parents,

I thought I'd share a tool that I use pretty often: the SEPTA mobile app. I recommend using it because it shows you where buses and trains are in real time on a map. You can download it through the App Store (for iPhone) or the Google Play store (for Android). I check it before I leave the house to make sure I won't have to wait too long outside, which is especially important during bad weather. Read on to see how to use to app.

Comcast Internet Essentials News

On Tuesday, Comcast announced that in just three and a half years, we’ve connected more than 450,000 families, or 1.8 million low-income Americans, to the Internet at home through our Internet Essentials program. You can read more about this milestone here.

We are very proud of this achievement, but know it wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of committed community partners like the City of Philadelphia, the School District of Philadelphia and the Free Library of Philadelphia.
